school for the shy

Everybody's shy.  Even the blatant exhibitionist is distracting us from some more private part.  Which of the eight sorts of 'shy' are you? And how has it inhibited your potential effectiveness in the world?

We won't analyze the 'why's" of your shyness, but this series of exercises and games will move you quickly past any social distortions, inhibitions and behavioral apologies that block you from expressing your fullest presence in your work world or social life, and have you playing full out with like minded strangers in three hours.

In this three hour workshop you reroute your behavior into the possible future of YOU !

Prerequisite: Desire to play more fully with others personally and professionally.

"See through the block" is HUGELY important advice -- all these years, I never knew there was anything on the other side of the block. . .

-- MICHAEL SZERBA,

SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST, VIRGIN MOBILE

"Your classes... challenge how people see my in my daily life -- the quiet, introverted, cerebral software developer. I have found your classes have helped me in breaking the ice, public speaking, pitching, and generally being willing to take the risk of looking foolish."

-- ERIC CANALE,

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

"I fell in love with getting out of my own skin and becoming someone else in Melanie's classes. In one coaching session for an audition, she helped me make adjustments that got me a part in a stage play. I learned to...let the character do all the liberating things that Mark would never do. My character... shed genuine tears on stage. I did not expect that I would actually be capable of having tears coming from my eyes in front of an audience."

-- MARK SWANN,

SR. PROGRAMMER ANALYST, ACTOR

"It might take people years of therapy to drill down to their sticking points. Here, just asking people to say their names, we see the traumatic results of badparenting and negative peer messages on the soul. With the culprit in our crosshairs, we're invited to begin a journey toward freedom.”

-- KEITH “LUCKY” LEHRER,

ATTORNEY, FORMER DRUMMER “CIRCLE JERKS

“You can't imagine how much I love your teachings, observation and coaching and I even need them more than I love them.… I am starting to understand what you have mentioned about stillness (and feelings), enough to know that there is so much I need to be learning. I believe what you are teaching us is great not only for improv and acting but for life.”

-- ARASH AFRAKHTEH, ACTOR
